Dagmara Mrowiec-Matuszak. Actress, Director, Producer. Born in 1981 in Bielsko-Biała. Graduated from the PWST in Kraków. I’ve made my debut at the National Old Theatre in Kraków with the play "Night Bus" directed by Jarosław Tumidajski. In my fourth year of school I was hired at the Polish Theatre in Bydgoszcz. There began with the play "Stone and Ashes" directed by Iwona Kempa. For this role I received the Young Actress award at the Kontrapunkt Festival in Szczecin. I’ve stayed in Bydgoszcz for two seasons. Then Krzysztof Mieszkowski hired me at the Polish Theatre in Wrocław. So far I was played about 60 roles in theatre, film and television. I’ve worked with such directors as Krystian Lupa, Maja Kleczewska, Wiktor Rubin, Kasia Adamik, Krzysztof Garbaczewski, Monika Strzępka, Justyna Łagowska. In 2017, I founded the GRUPATARTAK collective in Łódź. We produced the play “Fallen City”. Then We organized a cyclical event called “Cultural Warm-up” at OFF-Piotrkowska. These are performative readings of texts by young playwrights. The latest project is “Ziemia obiecana A.D. 202X” directed by Me at the Monopolis Stage.
In 2019, I was selected for the project “Nous l’Europe banquet de Peuples” directed by Roland Auzet at the Festival d’Avignon. I was the first Polish actress to take part in an international project for this Festival. The play was a success and was performed in France and Switzerland for the next three years.
Currently continuing the work of her Collective and once again joins the team of the Polish Theatre in Bydgoszcz.
